I am in need for a new home card so the bg piece I was playing with became my jumping off point. The bg is white cs that I had been playing with a stencil and Distress sprays. Never got the look I was going for but the piece was worth adding to. So the stars got stamped in black ink and filigree frame is stencil with platinum stencil butter and pink butterflies are a punch through scraps. Front layer is white copy paper with die cut center and dry embossing with a stencil then attached. Tulips were clear ink stamped on white copy paper then heat set in silver embossing powder. The coloring is water colors with some markers for shading. I fussy cut the flowers then ran them through the Xyron and attached to front. Attached piece to white cs base then stamped sentiment in black ink. This is a 5×7 card and my stencil used for dry embossing was 6×6. When the lower portion was not embossed I was going to flip the stencil and hope for the best, but then I liked the clear white for the sentiment and bottom of the flowers.
Thanks for sharing your time with me, now I am sharing this with:
Color My Heart: Photo Inspiration I liked the pinks in the tree and all the earthy tones of the brick
WOW!! You are the queen of backgrounds. The tulips are so beautifully colored.

Beautiful card and I love that background. It’s funny how an idea can take you in a slightly different direction than what you were intending but it can still turn out beautiful. I do love tulips and that sense that Spring is around the corner Michelle

Love how the amazing background did not detract from the prominent tulips but rather worked quite well together.

That smooth white at the bottom is just perfect for your sentiment and gives it a bit more softness. Great job on that background and your beautiful flowers!

Spring is either right around the corner, or you are really hoping it is! I’ve enjoyed our long and colder than normal winter, but I’m about ready to have it warm enough to wear sandals again. I have enjoyed the opportunity to wear coats more than a couple times this year. 🙂
