Inkspirational: Rain

I knew I wanted to put my black modeling paste through a rain stencil then add heat embossing to make it shine. But when I opened the drawer to get the powder I scoped out the holographic powder and added that to the wet paste. Heat setting did not make the paste bubble but sure put the shine on the rain drops. Before adding the rain drops I had used white modeling paste through the sentiment stencil and was not happy with the results so made a swish pattern when trying to remove the paste and went with that. Adhered the sentiment cut on the Silhouette and mounted on white cs base.

When you get to the age we are you realize you need more of this kind of card then baby or wedding events. My husband thought the drops could be tears which is appropriate, too.

  1. What an interesting technique. Love the idea that the drops could be tears. They really sparkle. It seems I never have enough sympathy cards.

  2. Beautiful sympathy card….the raindrops have enough texture and shine but not overly so and can very easily be interpreted from raindrops to tears.
