The Paper Players: Sketch

Die Cut Divas: Flowers the butterfly is die cut

Simon Says Wednesday: Cute

I was first attempting to meet the challenge of the sketch which started with the focal image which is a digi that I printed on Paper Vellum and then water colored. When I added shimmer powder to the butterfly it bled so I cover it with a die cut one that was colored before it got attached. The sentiment was stamped in black ink and the image is mat layered on a green cs. BG is all pp from stash mounted on white cs base.

For some reason my camera has the hardest time with keeping purples true. They always go either pink or blue. This time the tulips look very blue in the photo but they actually do compliment the bg purple. Oh well.

  1. What a cute little ‘diva’ coming out of the pot. Your coloring is superb. Love the pp’s and you’re right, the blue tulips compliment the purple background.

  2. What a fun card, Bonnie! I love that image. It would be nice if cameras could see colors, textures and so many other things the way our eyes can. They do the best they can. I really like how cute you got the image with your coloring. The butterfly is perfect the way you did it, as it is now flying right off the page.

  3. Love it, Bonnie – your coloring is gorgeous – and the image is adorable. Great job “fixing” the boo-boo!! Would never have known it was there if you hadn’t told us! Thanks for sharing your project with us this week at The Paper Player! 🙂
