The Paper Players: Color
Simon Says Wednesday: For a Child
Having a bike as a child meant freedom. Not sure that still applies today, but there is a kid in all of us that holds bike riding somewhere special in our hearts.
This card started out as a piece of white Paper Vellum that got dry embossed in a folder that was mountain side smooched with Slate ink pad and water on glass mat. Added sky line with hill stencil and sponging the light blue, then added clouds with cloud stencil and the light blue and Slate ink pad and sponging. Sponged the yellow on lower edge then mounted on b&w stripe mat layer. Mounted all on white cs base. Sentiment is Silhouette cut and glued on. Birthday got glossy accents added. Heart gear on bicycle as white fineline.
Love the bicycle and the background. The bike meant freedom for me – spent many carefree days cruising the neighborhood and beyond.

I so hear you about the beyond. My parents would faint if they knew the parts of town I road around.

So glad you see them enjoying the finer things of summer.

You created an amazing scene from your embossed panel. Love how the ink you added to your embossed image really makes it stand out as a focal image instead of as background texture.

Thanks Lisa, the smooching does pretty good at only hitting the high points.

This is a fun one, Bonnie! Riding bikes was definitely a fun thing to do as a kid. It so expanded your area.
