Sweet Stampin: Use your Scraps
As the title and challenge theme suggests, I was going for cozy. Layered all on this pp that has texture and shine. The left image is black stamped tree on plaid pp with gray sponging. Sentiment section is white cs with stamping in black. The small piece of colored cs was dry embossed with a cable knit pattern then sponged with the light gray ink. Actually everything on the black layering piece was dry embossed, then I masked off the small colored section to sponge on the gray. All these pieces are scraps from my box of odds and ends.
Here is the old tissue box that I adapted to keep my odds and ends in a manageable state. Because most of my cards are A2 size this works very well for me. I have an expandable folder that hold 12×12 sheets for full size pp and larger odds and ends.

Definitely warm and cozy with your buffalo plaid to warm up the snowy scene, Bonnie. Thanks for another great idea about organizing odds and ends. I may make one for my extra die cuts and patterned papers. I do attempt to put the small colored cardstock back in the file with the full sizes. Yes, I do clean up my space every now and then 🙂 Love the card.

Love the card, but love the box more. Think I will grab a couple of sue boxes, and try this! My scraps are in GK kit boxes and I never use them, if sitting out, think I might use up more of the scraps! Hugs!

Card is lovely, but the box super! I like that you covered the box and added labels to make it easier to use those scraps. I have a large folder in my file cabinet with scraps that are not sorted at all. It is such a mess and barely touched. I find it easier to pull out the paper from the colors that match than the mess of scraps. Thanks for the inspiration!

Very cozy feeling in this card. Love how your creativity works and your idea for scraps is great. I have an old expanding 12 x 12 folder that came originally full of pp. I sorted out my scraps into colours – added a small piece of colour to the label and that is where most of my scraps live. I usually make a point of looking there first before cutting up a larger piece of pp or cs.

What a warm and cozy card. I love all the texture. What a great idea for scraps. I keep my CS in hanging folders and each has an envelope for scraps, but my PP scraps are kept in the bag with each PP pack and often get overlooked.

I love your “cozy” card with the clean lines and wonderful texture! I rarely think to stamp on patterned paper, but I should as your tree looks great on that plaid! And I love your tissue box idea. I have no system for keeping my little, usable scraps and panels handy and end up either “losing” them in the large scrap folders I keep separated by color or just throwing them out when I get tired of moving the unwieldy pile from one corner of my desk to the other. Thanks for the inspiration!
