Sunday Stampers: From the Heart
Little Red Wagon: Books
Inkspiratoinal: Glitz Strip
I don’t usually make many Valentines but the few I do, I try to make special. These hearts are cut free hand from some bg paper I created. It started as white cs with stencil and embossing paste that got some reinker in the pale orange mixed in it to create this color. Then I smooched the paper in some medium color of orange ink pad on glass mat with water spritzed. Splattered with white acrylic paint and gold acrylic paint. Cut out the aperture and then the heart shape. The red cs got gold embossing of stamped images for the heart and sentiment. Then dry embossed with embossing folder and mounted heart shape to from stamped heart. This is layered on a strip of glitzy washi tape and all on white cs base.
I have to make a couple of shout outs to my stamping buddies. Not too long ago I mentioned that I don’t have or use washi tape. My friend Johanna sent me this 3M product that I really do like and will use. It is heavier and differently brings the bling. The design layout was inspired by Angie’s water colored hearts with twisted branches, so thanks to her for giving me the idea to mix those elements.
This card is beautiful!

Lovely card! The background is adding a lot of texture. I think I own that embossing folder and never think of using it like you did. Thanks for sharing your process.
