Mothers Day – a litter different

Global Design Project: Create Landscape
As You See It: Copacabana

This is for a girlfriend in Florida. Started with the idea from Spitcoasters to divide the background. They wanted us to use background stamps but I only have one, so I used stencils. Sponged on part with three shades of green. Then switched sides with different stencil and used the same three colors. Stamped focal image and sentiment. Paper pierced the flamingo with the same color of pink as the base cs. Shaded it some with soft gray and white gel pen. Sponged yellow for contrast. The base cs was dry embossed with same stencil as left side and then swiped with next shade darker pink. Added double sided tape with micro glitter on sides. What, a green zebra?

  1. This is a really nice card. I too love the pink and the green backgrounds and like how you used stencils to create the background. Clever.

  2. Bonnie, what a clever background technique. I’m going to have to try that! I also love your side panels and the way they echo the colours of the flamingo! Thanks for playing along with As You See It Challenges!

  3. I really like your background and the “scene” you created with our colors! Very tropical! Thanks for sharing this with us this week at As You See It!
