Fall Harvest in Mixed Media

After seeing a few challenges this week that dealt with pumpkins, I decided to stamp this image on two kinds of plaid and fussy cut. For the bg I used this Mixed Media Recipe I made up:

  • Organic stencil with dimensional paste
  • Stain smooch
  • Stripes –  stamp, stencil or tissue paper
  • Script stamp with white and/or black
  • Die cuts in layers

First step is flourish stencil with black modeling paste on some kraft cs. Once dry I sprayed clear acetate with yellow oxide stain then pressed into right side. For my stripes I used stash of check printed on waterproof sticker paper plus add in the body of the piece stripe like images by using a texture stamp with black ink. I wrapped the stamp around my finger so that only a small strip of the stamp touched. My script is stamped in clear ink then heat set in white ep. Added my pumpkins then layer all on white cs base. Sentiment strip is what was trimmed off of the right side of the bg piece then stamped in black ink.

Thanks for sharing your time with me, now I am sharing this with:
