Butterfly I set out to create

The bg is white text vellum used to mop up green and gold shimmer spray. I used harlequin ef then rubbed green ink pad over surface. Trimmed to fit mini slimline and rubbed edges with black ink pad. Attached butterfly and stamped in black tag. Bow is gold braid and sisal twine twisted together then tied the bow and attached.

The previous post shows the piece from smearing the stencil butter on this die. I have been using the green and gold shimmer spray pieces for several projects as well. It was such a light bulb moment when I heard a designer suggest to make several bg pieces at one time for later use. Plus adding to these with my dirty stencils to clean them has been fun.

  1. Love how you created the embossed background. Using the sponging to incorporate the colors from the Inspiration Photo. The color for the butterfly really pops. Thanks for playing with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
