My neighbor is taking me to a special bible study next week so I wanted to create a very unique card to express my gratitude. Plus it was time to clear off the work space and most of these elements were just laying around. I told my husband it was from leftovers and he thought I meant from yesterdays diner. The plaid was one I was working on but never got happy with so this was a strip not going to be used. Once I sponged kraft and brown it was much better. The wings were the practice on layering weight cs from another project and I added copier printed tissue paper and a leaf wreath that just would not cut completely on the Silhouette. Once I had glued all down the paper was quite wonkie so I used a frame ef in the deboss fashion. Splattered in black water color then attached to white cs base. Added butterflies through stencil with black glitter paste and stamped the little image under the sentiment in black ink. There just was not room for the kitchen sink.
I see a little space in the top right corner! Love the card – I’m sure your friend will enjoy it!

I’m glad you could quite fit the kitchen sink, as you did get lots of the everything but. To create such a wonderful card from your “leftovers” is amazing. I’m betting you got a laugh out of your husband’s idea, too. You’ll have to make a card for him with food images. 😉
