Make My Monday: Use Stencils

My stamp buddy Gerry taught me to look on the internet for free cut art using the searching term Coloring Books. Here is what I found. It had a moon with it but I edited to just the stars. After putting gesso on light weight white cs I added embossing paste through stencil cut with paper. Once dry I mopped sheet through color burst in gold sprayed with water on the glass mat. Next I used blue shimmer spray on glass mat to pick up color on the lower half of the piece. Better half wanted the stars to shine more so I put the stencil back down, pressed Versa Mark and heat set embossing powder in Platinum. Added the stars in the upper right with stencil and black marker then quicky glue pen and glitter. To make the lower stars white I used a gel pen. Rubbed outer edge with black ink pad and mounted on white cs base.

I am finding I really enjoy cutting stencils with Silhouette in 80 lb. white cs. They are multi use but not forever. The file is saved so I can cut again if I want but the love affair only last go long then I am on to the next best stencil I ever made. Email me if you want the svg of the star stencil
