Sunday Stampers: Getting Sketchy
Stamping Sensations: Say it with Flowers

One of my stamping buddies was cleaning out her seldom used stamps and selling them on Ebay. Win for me because I have always wanted this stamp set. It is a multi layered stamp, so for the outline part I used black ink. The next two layers are stamped using shimmer spray but instead of spraying I used the tube end of the sprayer to spread the liquid on to the stamp. One is blue and the other yellow and these sprays have a ton of mica. The last two layers are also black ink. The stamen are accented in black enamel. I fussy cut the flowers and used a black sharpie to rub on the edges so they have no outline of white. Blue bg is the mopping up of color burst with Text Vellum. The b&w dots are pp and kraft cs was used to create tag with black ink stamped sentiment. Stitching lines are hand drawn with gel pen and all is mounted on white cs base of 4×5 3/4.

    1. Thanks Lisa B! I tried spraying on glass mat and picking up with stamp but it only wanted to run off the image. Being one to never say quit I sprayed directly on stamp and that went everywhere and not enough on the image. So spreading seemed like the next approach. Go glad it worked cuz I was running out of ideas.

  1. You sure got a lot of shine on those flowers and they are gorgeous. A beautiful card and that hand drawn stitching is great. If I tried that it would be so messy.
