Print Making with Die Cuts

I had done this before but thought I was just leaving a surface protector of white paper down while I was water coloring. Turns out it is called Print Making with Die Cuts. The lily is die cut on my Silhouette from stamping the multi-layer stamp set of a lily in black ink on white paper and then scanning and creating an outline that can now be die cut with the machine. Painted with water colors the background layer in orange and the top layer in hot pink on my white bg paper, dapping off excess color onto the bg paper. Attached these layers together once they were dry then stamped the texture layer in black ink as well as the stamen layer. Colored my sentiment on the bg paper in hot pink then trimmed the bg print to fit behind the Silhouette cut frame. I used texture ef to help flatten the bg piece before layering all my pieces on white cs base. Decided to use a white die cut of the sentiment and save the hot pink one for some other project.

  2. Gorgeous orange and pink watercolors for your dabbed print background and watercolored die cut flower, Bonnie. We are all now going to want to keep our dabbing off excess inks scraps:-) Love your CAS design too. So pleased you joined us at CAS Mix Up, my friend. Love and Hugs…Nancy
