CAS Watercolour: Something Blue
CAS Mix Up: Ombre
Background was a leftover from playing with colorburst added to gesso and pushed through stencil once dry then sponged light blue for ombre. Sentiment and butterfly cut on Silhouette in white layering weight then were smeared with transfer gel and laminated in silver foil. The dragonfly was cut with a sheet of label making paper. I then peeled backing to reveal sticky side that I placed the foil on then ran that through Cuttlebug. Just pressing with finger or rubbing with anything was not working. The Cuttlebug gave great results and in the future I will use this for the my sentiments that get foiled.
Tip: To keep the butterfly wings free but able to lay flat for mailing, I make a hinge out of a thin strip of heavy acetate, like 1/8″ x 3/8″, that is folded in half lengthwise and dbl. tape on outside. Placing them near the body it really pops up the winds.
