I follow a blog of seven ladies that offer techniques. Their latest post is about Debossed Inky Resist. I feel like I failed this technique because I used a pearly white embossing powder instead of pure white. This is not to say that the piece was not salvageable. To get this look, I added green shimmer spray to my mat and smooched, then green oxide spray and smooched then swiped the surface with black ink pad. Added Silhouette cut: greenery, tag and sentiment then mounted on white cs base. Used small circle punch with gold paper to cut then add a few dots. The tag was colored with a green stencil butter applied with a flat sponge.

Thanks for sharing your time with me, now I am sharing this with:
If this is a “fail” I’d like to fail on my cards also! This is stunning!

Thanks Gerry, it was a failure as for the technique. Terry thinks it looks more like snake skin

Gorgeous lacy embossing folder techinque. Love your techniques and the completed looks. It looks vintage lace to me not snake skin. I think you made the techinique your own and definitely not a fail.

Your card is lovely with the texture and subtle colors. You did not fail at the technique! Who says you have to use white embossing powder? The whole idea behind learning a new technique is to play with it and experiment. Take it in as many directions as you want. I was thinking gold would be pretty cool.
