I did watch this video before starting this technique but because I view videos in a different room than I craft in my steps got turned around. The idea of the technique was on my mind but this is my CAS of it. I used red, and blue stencil butters on a sheet of acetate that I pressed white cs into. First major change form original directions but because the butters are shimmery I did not have to use a shimmer spray. Once dry, I dry embossed with this 3D folder but pressed such that my gray ink was on the de-emboss side. Second wrong turn. Now I had the solid background facing me. OK so I swiped black ink pad instead of having to color in the background. Third wrong turn. Then I was faced with how to heat emboss the details so I swiped clear ink on the ef and ran piece through again. Did not line up very well so image is distorted. Added gold embossing powder and heat set. I did splatter with white acrylic paint, then trimmed to fit note card and mounted on white cs base. Sentiment and tag were cut on Silhouette and sentiment was heat set in the gold three times before glued to tag. Knowing what I know now, for my technique: I would clear ink just the highlights of the ef and using my stencil butter colored pieces to get a de-emboss. This way I can next heat set the gold highlights and not have to dry emboss twice. Then use black ink pad to color background and then add splatter.
