This ended up being way more complex than I had intended but was not happy as the layers kept getting added. This bg is white cs stenciled with turquoise and green stencil butters through a geometric stencil then sponged ink in the same colors directly on surface. Next layer is the stamped then heat embossed in black vellum. I fussy cut the right side and attached to the bg piece. I had colored the back of the vellum and was intending that this would be the card but it was not good. Stamped the design on white copy paper then colored the flowers with apricot stencil butter and fussy cut them out. Rolled the petals then attached to the vellum. Added white gel pen to accent centers. Still not quite right I added the leaf frame and sentiment that were cut on the Silhouette. Top layer of sentiment got heat set in black embossing powder twice then attached. Finally called it finished and mounted on white cs base.

I am not sure why you don’t like it: I think it looks GREAT! Love the shimmery flowers and all the layers as you built up the card.

Seriously, gorgoeus. First my eyes went to theat gorgeous frame then saw the depth of layers beneath it. It may have been complicated and it looks complex but the outcome is awesome. Take another look!

There’s a lot to this one, but it’s cool that you have the vellum on the one side, yet not on the other so you get the background both clear and softened. I love the beautiful flowers with their dimension! The white panel almost seems too much, but it gives my eyes a place to rest. Overall it’s busier than your typical style, but it works.

I too always analize whether the card needs something more and keep adding until I’m satisfied with it, maybe not love it, but satisfied. I’m glad you continued on with your add-ons and came up with a gorgeous card. Thanks for sharing with us at Color Dare.
