When I purchased a magazine it came with a bunch of new stamps. I used black ink on white text vellum to stamp this one then water colors and markers. The frame is my new ef with the center oval die cut out. Used my stencil butters in gold and silver to add a waxed look. I found if a put a dab of butter on the glass mat and add a dab of white glue then mix with my pallet knife the medium went on more like gilding wax (without the glue the butter dries too fast). Used a sponge to smear the butter mixture on first in gold then in the silver. I got really heavy handed and the colors went everywhere not just on the raised parts. With more of a dabbing motion and less medium I am sure the butters will look great. And what a blessing the butter and glue washed off of everything, even the sponge, very quickly and easily.
Thanks for sharing your time with me, now I am sharing this with:

I like the embossing! The gold adds so much. I have that folder, so now I am pondering ways to really use it. I like the stamped image as well.

Thanks Lisa K. I have had a fascination with gilding wax for a few years now but just could not convince myself that I needed to spend the money on something I really don’t have room for. I am so excited that my stencil butters are working so well.

Thanks Lisa, both were fun to make and was not sure they went together or that maybe I went too simple.

Gorgeous background using your stencil butters over the embossed panel. I really like the center stamped image design and the colors you chose for coloring.

Thanks Gayle, now all I have to do is make more embossing that needs gilded.

Thanks Cathy, the embossing is actually in the front as a frame, trying to make the stamping the focal part of the card.
