Etching Acetate

I follow a blog called Silhouette School. The other day she had a tutorial on etching acetate and after watching I decided to give it a go. At Amazon I found this tool that fit where the cutting blades goes in my Silhouette Cameo. Using a heavy piece of acetate that was the backing for a new stamp I got these results in the first try following all suggestions found HERE. The bg is pp that I cut a strip off of to use as attachment for acetate. I added tape dots to the back of the strip then placed acetate to half of the strip lengthwise and mounting the other half to the pp card front. Mounted pp on white cs base and called this one done.

    1. Thanks Lisa, you would do great with this. I was pretty leery of the prospect but for under $20 it was worth a try. Plus Memory Keepers is a good brand for me. Knowing the Silhouette just does not do embossing this makes a neat additional to my tool box of toys.

    1. Thanks Gerry, super fun to try something so different with Silhouette. Spent yesterday morning getting my stock sentiments and snowflakes all cut so this was a nice diversion after the delivery of the tool came.
