I made the bg with gold stencil butter through a stencil on white cs. Silhouette cut the flower, sentiment and sentiment strip. Colored flower with water colors then dry embossed with matching ef. Swiped flower across black ink pad to pick up details of embossing. Created black mat layers and mounted on white sc base in mini slimline format. Attached all the pieces. Love how the gold really holds the image without taking over entirely. Here is the link to how I created the flower die cut from an ef image.
Thanks for sharing your time with me, now I am sharing this with:

Thanks Lisa, it was a layout I really wanted to try with the black mat in two pieces then adding the lower white layer. Could work for any occasion.

Your flower is beautiful; love how you added the color and cut it out from the embossed paper/panel. It looks fantastic against the gorgeous gold background you created. Beautiful card for someone who needs comfort or prayers.

Thanks Lisa, your support and encouragement is greatly appreciated. It actually is a die cut I created from the image in the center of an embossing folder. It was embossed after coloring.

Thanks Gayle, so cool you phrased it that way because I had the flower done and was trying to decide the bg when this came to me to try.
