The stamped image does most of the heavy lifting here. But I was inspired to create bg from THIS video. Following the video, I brayed from my ink pad a red/orange on half of the gel plate then and purple on the other half, splattered with water then pulled print onto white cs. Stamped image in light gray and then water colored. Sponged purple ink from pad along horizon and along edges then re-stamped in black ink. Added snow with gel pen and white ink with a brush to hills, trees and structures. Added snow splatter with white ink and splatter brush. To flatted the much loved cs plus add texture I ran it through a linen look embossing folder. Mounted on white cs base. Added a few details like the tree trunks and tree boughs with colored markers.
Thanks for sharing your time with me, now I am sharing this with:

So glad you followed the link. I like to watch at 2 times speed. I get the visual and still understand the verbal but spend a lot less time hanging around. This is by far the simplest gel press I had seen and I do like the results.

The stamp may do a lot of the heavy lifting, but your wonderful coloring really brings it to life. It has a wonderful frosty look.

THanks Judy, not sure how red/orange and purple turned to snow but it did work out good.

The scene looks much better with the splatter. Had to go in a add it twice before it seemed enough.
