Need to Improve

I came across a new to me Challenge that uses color combos for their weekly challenges. This is my first entry to that site. Because using color alone as the spring board to creating has been one of the things I have struggled with in my crafting, I want to play along to see if I can improve. You see my cards always look contrived to me when I use this form of inspiration. Not sure this one is any different. Adding the free colors of black and white did seem to add a level of playing well together but still feels like three colors. Maybe someone will offer a challenge of who can add the most techniques? Used here: dry embossing, smearing ink on dry embossing, foiling, stamping, die cutting, free hand doodling, water coloring, sponging using a mask, using markers for highlights and adding liquid glitter glue.

Thanks for sharing your time with me, now I am sharing this with:

  1. I think the hardest part of color challenges is matching the challenge colors with what I own. I see three of their colors along with neutrals. The sparkle you added to the snowman really makes it pop from the background. Overall, a lovely card.

  2. I think you would win the most techniques challenge, Bonnie, hands down. With all the techniques you use your cards always look well designed and cohesive. I think you did a great job with the color challenge and you added techniques and ended up with a fun and lovely card.

  3. Great Christmas card! I think you did well. That was a difficult palette to work with. So happy you played along with Krafty Chicks Challenge this week.
