Elk Holiday Greetings

My soon to be 90 year old mother is in the mode of getting ready to downsize so over Thanksgiving she gifted to me two bags of goodies. In one was this elk stamp in red rubber. I have seen so many wreath creations this season that I decided to give one a whirl. The twigs are a stamp cut from fun foam of a die. They are stamped in brown, Kraft and off stamped in both colors. Elk was stamped in brown ink and highlighted in black and white pens. After sponging the red then adding splatter with acrylic paint in red and brown (did not have brown so mixed red and green and got a great brown) I went back and stamped in brown some pine cones and dots for berries in red Posca pen. Trimmed the piece to match the Kraft cs mat then mounted on white cs base. Cut the red frame in red cs as well as the sentiment mat layer. Stamped sentiment with clear ink and heat set with white enamel on brown cs.

  1. Your wreath frames your elk image perfectly. I love the red and the addition of the pine cones. So creative to use the sprigs die cut on fun foam as a stamp. Did you inherit your stamping and creating skills from your mother? Awesome card.
