As I was die cutting my frames for my Christmas cards I had leftovers of plaid frames. Originally destined for the trash I decided to reverse my layout and use them while keeping the rest of the elements like my prototype that I posted last month, I added more pine boughs that are covered in Dragonfly Glaze in blue-green -gold shift plus I added Stickles Star Dust in the cutouts of the Joy sentiment. That way I had one sheet of elements to cut on the Silhouette and used metal dies to cut ovals. I did add an easel to the back so the oval card could be stood up. Maybe still too many steps for an assembly line creation but hey it is winter and what else am I doing these cold windy snowy days? Only 10 more to go.
What makes the Dragonfly Glaze so cool is that it has a holographic effect and comes in several different color shifts. Because this water based liquid is more like acrylic paint I applied with a paint brush or my finger.
Thanks for sharing your time with me, now I am sharing this with:
Try it on Tuesday: Traditional Christmas
Not the best photo, and still you can not see the holographic effect of the Dragonfly Glaze, but you can get a feel for the shine.

Another WOW!!! Love the sparkles and what a great idea to put an easel back.

Another beauty. I think I like this one better than the original. Your Joy word is amazing. Nice that you made it an easel card for display.

I’ll have to check out dragonfly glaze as I love the effect it creates on your card. And to think parts of it were headed for the trash. Love that you reused it instead. Thanks for sharing with us at Use Your Stuff
