Gold Leaves

The bg piece is black cs ran through leaf ef then swiped gold acrylic paint on a damp sponge. I did go back and paint some gold paint on some of the raised images. I put the piece back in the ef and layered on the white piece that got the same color treatment. Sentiment strip is plain black cs heat embossed in gold. All is mounted on white cs base. To create the sentiment I cut apart two stamps in the set. One was Happy Birthday and the other was Autumn Wishes. It has been quite liberating to cut into stamps. They can still be used stuck side-by-side but so fun to create my own.

Thanks for spending your time with me, now I am sharing this with:

  1. The gold on the black leaves is very elegant. I sometime have trouble performing surgery on my stamps, but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do and it works perfectly here.

  3. Fabulous card! Great technique on the background piece, there’s just something about black and gold paired together! Thanks for joining us at Krafty Chicks Challenge this past week for our Stamp Act theme 🙂 Hope you join us again soon.
