
While working on my moms thanks you cards I ended up with an extra heat embossed layer. I used the moth 3D die to cut the image. Added purple embossing paste and black modeling paste with my finger. Drew antenna on to the bg piece by hand with black gel pen and some glossy accents in black for body. Glued on the body and popped up the left wings with a hinge made out of a thin strip acetate folded in half lengthwise and only attached to the card. This way, in the mail, the moth can lay flat but once out of the envelope the wings with spring up. Sentiment was cut on Silhouette to white cs then heat set in the silver embossing powder three times and then attached. This was then mounted on kraft cs.
