Partial EF

I only wanted part of the embossing to show, so I made me a shim for my machine out of thin cardboard. By cutting a diamond pattern in the center of the shim I could place it on top of the sandwich before sending only half of the ef through the machine. Focal piece is copy paper cut to fit the lower area. Stamped image in black ink then added blue shimmer gel pen on wings. Fussy cut wings out of vellum. By cutting each side of the wings separately I could cut a tab that was along the body side, score and fold it under. It acts as a hinge and gave me a good place to glue each set of wings in place. I then heat set silver embossing powder after stamping wing details in clear ink. Image is popped up with fun foam cut to slightly smaller size then attached.

Thanks for sharing your time with me, now I am sharing this with:

  2. You did an amazing job of partially embossing – it’s very effective. Love how you did the dragonfly – it looks like it could fly off the card.
