When I was cleaning up yesterday my stencil and spatula had the blue stencil butter on them and I had tried to smear off the most of the media on scrape white copy paper text vellum that went into the trash. This morning I saw the piece and thought it would be a fun piece to add more mixed media to. I stamped the whirl with embossing ink then heat set in white embossing powder, I then glued the sentiment that had been cut on white cs with the Silhouette. Because the white letters were getting lost I decided to add another color with ink sponging in yellow plus added ink sponging in light blue along the upper edge. Next came the decision to add the layer from my stash of pre-made bg. This one is chartreuse stencil butter and a leaf stencil. Trimmed the pieces then mounted on white cs base. I picked out some pre-cut foliage then smeared the chartreuse stencil butter over the top to get the color match to the bg. Once dry I glued only the stem ends to the piece and popped up the upper leaves. Last things were to use stickles in star dust along the letters to bring them alive with sparkle and add white dots everywhere in enamel accents.
The layout was from a sketch challenge that I had intended to enter but one of the requirements is to stamp the sentiment. Great chance to use the layout but skip that challenge, for now.
Thanks for spending your time with me, now I am sharing this with:
