When I saw this challenge I knew it was a project I wanted to take on. I get tons of gardening catalogs this time of year and most are underused or appreciated (I save most of my own seeds). This gave me the perfect way to take advantage of the slick four color pages. My heart is found on the strawberry pages. Once stamped with embossing pad and heat set in gold, I fussy cut the red heart. This was mounted with silicone to give the heart a rounded effect on to the white text vellum with a bg. I created this bg by pressing my paper on to my harlequin stencil that had red stencil butter on it. I placed the clean and dry stencil back down and sprayed gold shimmer spray for more bling. This was then mounted on gold sticker paper for a very fine mat layer that was placed on white cs base. The sentiment is heat set red embossing powder on gold sticker paper. I left the backing paper on the sticker paper and added silicone instead to give sentiment relief.
The only tip I would add for this faux cloisonne is to not use much embossing paste and press very lightly for impression. The slick paper really take the paste and you will lose your stamp detail with far too much powder getting heat set. Also, if you have a small piece of cork to heat set this gives a great way to absorb the extra heat from the gun plus you can use straight pens to wedge your project to the cork for a hands free setting session. I found my piece of cork stuck to the bottom of a granite coaster that now lives at my craft station.

Thanks for sharing your time with me, now I am sharing this with:
