Sit Deep & Stay Loose

My stamp buddy Judy turned me on to this site where they sell red rubber (thanks Judy). I purchased several fun and very different stamps. I had created this step base in a mini slimline format then stamped the image. After adding sponging through a stencil for the inside I lined the sentiment areas with white cs then stamped the sentiments. For added texture on the front I simply scored blocks. The coloring is combination of water colors, alcohol markers and water color pencils. Email me if you want the dimensions I figured out to get to a mini slimline

I got the title of this piece from something my trainer/husband always says. It is actually very good advice because most of us get tight, stand up in our stirrups and pull back on the reins. All of these are the exact opposite that the horse ever needs.

Tip: When your sticky mat for your cutting machine gets old and doesn’t hold like it needs to, trim it to fit in your stamping platform. It adds just the right amount of tack to hold the piece but not so much you can’t remove it. Plus it is thin enough that it does not effect the stamping. I then use the magnets to hold the sticky mat.

Thanks for sharing your time with me, now I am sharing this with:

  1. Fabulous design, image and sentiment. Beautifully colored and the score lines add an extra bit of dimension to your card. Hope you were not affected by the wildfires in CO. Such a tragedy. Hugs.

  2. Your layout is awesome. Great coloring. There’s really a lot of cool stuff going on here. I thought you’d find some goodies on that website. Thanks for the reminder about the sticky mat. I ordered some to use in my MISTI and keep forgetting to use it.
