Angle on High

I am following along on the Advent Calendar at Kit & Clowder and on day 10 they offer this digi from Molly Harrison for free. The color class is also free when you sign up for the monthly classes, which I have been a member for awhile now (learning tons and having fun). Most of my coloring is with water color pencil that I use water to blend and then added black and white gel pens to put back in the highlights. Cut an outer mask then daubed embossing pad over image sprinkled on frosted crystal embossing powder then heat set. Die cut the image then layered on red cs and copy paper with the edges colored black for mat layer. All is mounted on white cs base.

Thought for today: Embrace where you are, and what you have and let peace be your umpire in life. For example: when I first got into this carding thing, money was tight and I had to make do without much. Challenges were very difficult because I rarely had the supplies required. I became very adept at making do. Now, with money not so tight, I have expanded my inventory of fun stuff but still enjoy making my own way. This course is taught in colored pencils or alcohol markers. I followed along but made my own creation by adding the water with the pencils. This is not the image the professional created but I am quite happy with my Angle on High.

Thanks for sharing your time with me, now I am sharing this with :

As You Like It: Fav Christmas Embellishment and why For me it all about the shine. Does not show in the photo but the whole image has a sparkle about it from the frosted crystal.

  1. Your angel is sweet and beautifully framed with the dotted layering piece. Love the red. Wonderful advice. Enjoy your classes and your continuing growth in card making.

  2. I knew there had to be some background to all your creative techniques and clever ideas! I too started with so little, and sometimes I think that made me more creative because I had to come up with a lot of ideas for not much stuff. Love your angel and hope you enjoy those coloring classes. Thanks for sharing at the Alphabet Challenge and at Krafty Chicks this week!
