The gals over at CAS Mixed Media wanted us to stamp through a stencil. I don’t recall that I have every done this. Plus I had just gotten a new stencil. I had meant to order this wheat in the 6″x6″ but got the 12″x12″ and had no idea how I was going to use it. Made for a good base for the 5″x7″ card base. After sponging the warm yellow I stamped a random circle bg stamp in black. Stamped the sentiment in black and added a line for the boarder in copic to match the wheat on only two side.

What a great way to use such a large stencil. The black randomly on it gives it a great realistic look.

Very pretty and comforting. Not surprising you figured out the best way to use the big stencil.

Simply wonderful wheat stenciled sympathy card with the stamping thru the stencil. The stamping added a wonderful dimension and interest to your wheat. So pleased, Bonnie that you joined us at CAS Mix Up. I had never used this technique either, but will surely use it again. TFS Hugs…
