This is a A2 size with tubes built into the sides that lay flat for mailing. I started with white cs cut to 5 1/2 x 7 1/4. Scored 3/8″ four times on each side and folded each score line towards the center. Glued the outside edge to the inside of the card on each side to create the tubes. My bg piece is a left over red and pink smooched piece trimmed then added pine bough stamped in black and green. This was attached to the back and left side. Added clear acetate with gold dots to top then gold and white ribbon along right side. Die cut the sentiment twice, once in gold once in white that were then stacked and attached to the acetate. The piece is blank on the back for hand written note and it stands on its own with the tubes.

I got the idea to make this from a demonstrator that made a huge card with separate tubes that were 1/2″ squares that were then attached. This smaller version with smaller tubes is very cute. The glue I used to attach the sentiment to the acetate and the acetate to the card is Scrapbook.com Smart Craft Glue. It is super strong and totally clear.

What a fun way to make your card! The dimension is definitely a fun addition to all your texture and color.

Pretty color technique and the stamped tree firns look so nice against it… interesting for the border tubes and the bold and dimensional sentiment. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble and Heart2Heart.

Bonnie, amazing card, I love that background and I love how the fold adds the extra dimension and makes for
a “floating sentiment.” So glad you joined us at Double Trouble!
