Color Challenge at TGIF

Found a new to me challenge that I wanted to play along with. At TGIF they were looking for the colors that I tried to match here. The pink butterfly is actually what was left when I smeared stencil butter over a die. I added the green leaves with a stencil and stencil brush dipped in the green oxide spray picked up from the glass mat. Last came the purple. I took a small brush, dipped into the purple stencil butter then smeared that on the glass mat. Sprayed water and then used that to splatter the piece. I then tapped a circle stencil in the liquid and then tapped that around the outer edges. Mounted on white cs base and attached sentiment strip. The shine the stencil butters give is impressive.

Tip: I don’t keep a roll of paper towels around to roll over my not dry pieces. But I do have a sheet of micro fiber used to mop up periodically. I discovered if I roll the thin fiber around my water spray bottle it makes a good rolling piece to pick up the excess color. These sheets are quite large so I cut them into fourths for a handy size that cleans in the washer machine and I use them many times.

    1. Thanks Judy, so happy you like it, but now it appears that I did not explain my process very well. I had a white layering weight die cut of the butterfly that I had placed on the same kind of paper then smeared the pink stencil butter over the top to color the butterfly. When I removed the butterfly die cut piece to allow it to day this is what was left.
