I had sprayed green and gold shimmer spray on vellum for another project that did not work out but I started with that bg. Ran the piece through ef then smeared black ink pad across the front. Most of the green was lost so I used the finger brush dauber to add green from ink pad to back of piece. Then the black was too stark so I smeared the gold modeling paste also with my finger. Sentiment is from strips made earlier. Added white center dots to the embossed dots then set all this with distress glaze. Rubbed edges with black ink pad then mounted on green cs base.

Top Tip: I keep small spray bottles on my work surface. One has water and the other alcohol. When I get too much ink on my fingers and I am about to ruin something I spray my hands with the alcohol and wipe clean with paper towel. If it is just water based products I use the water spray. This is also how I clean my stamps.

I think it is great that you keep adding stuff till you are happy, then you get a great outcome. Nice tip.

Hello Bonnie (Gallery neighbor). I loved reading how you made this card. It sounds like you work similar to the way I make art…I make awful art and then fix it. Your card looks amazing! That is a great embossing folder design that you really brought to life.

Another great background and love your persistence to get it just right. Inky fingers always show up when you least expect them to do so. Thanks for the tips.

You really turned that vellum into something else Bonnie, fabulous and effective. Love the shimmering gold against the black. Super card creation.

But now I feel bad because it is actually a stencil not an ef. Sure gives a good relief on vellum when put in the machine though.
