Sea Turtle

For the color challenge of Aqua + Black I set out to create the aqua in my stencil butters. I combined the blue and green on my glass mat then used a circle stencil to add the new color to white text vellum. The bg all ready had a fern stencil as a stamp in black ink that had the image pressed into the dry bg piece that had a smooched color burst in aqua. The black bubbles are a stamp that was used with black ink. Turtle was printed on white tissue paper and attached with mat gel medium. Mounted on white cs base. Sentiment strip was created on Silhouette and layered on black cs strip then attached. Added accent to the turtle with Dragonfly Glaze in Red-Violet-Blue. It is a water based glaze that comes out of the bottle white that can be brushed on then dries clear with tons of shimmer.

Challenge Up Your Life: Under Water

As You Like It: Tip Try Text Vellum. I got a ream of it on accident when I thought I was ordering copy paper. It looks like a really nice copy paper but has the properties of a light weight water color paper. I use it to make copies but for mixed media.
