I knew I wanted to get a fiery sunset look going so used a stencil with crimson stencil paste on one piece then flopped the stencil over and pressed leftover paste on to this sheet of white text vellum to create this image. It is suppose to be the view of scroll wrought iron balcony railing viewing a Caribbean sunset. I then sponged yellow ink on one edge and a hot orange on the other. Sprayed red shimmer spray then splatters of white gouache. I lost so much of the design I put the stencil back down and spread on gloss gel medium. While it was still wet I added white embossing powder and heat set. Used white gel pen and straight edge to add rail effect. The sentiment was cut on Silhouette in white layering weight paper. I added glossy accents. It turned too yellow so while the medium was still tacky I added white embossing paste and heat set. Mounted on white cs base.

Good morning. The labor was worth the result. It’s gorgeous. Perfect example of working it until you are happy with it.

This definitely represents a beautiful sunset well! Sounds like so much work, but it looks amazing! It’s irritating when Glossy Accents turns yellow, but I love how you conquered the problem.
