The bg is the print I made by spraying coffee filter with blue oxide spray then smooching this white text vellum. Then sponged green oxide spray through butterfly stencil. Stamped the apple blossoms in black ink then water colored. Used black enamel pen to add dots to stamens. Glued the lower half of the Silhouette cut greenery to white text vellum then fussy cut the stem line and trimmed rest to fit. Attached to the front of the card then stamped sentiment in black. Mounted on pink cs layer then white cs base. Trimmed pink strip and added bling to base of sentiment.
The bg created a very interesting effect when I water colored’s over it. I did go back and add white gesso with #2 paint brush to make the petals more pink and less blue. The top half of the greenery is free and I did shape the leaves slightly. It gives a real depth to the project.

Bonnie, this is beautiful. I love how you cut the bottom along the edge of your vine piece. That gives it such a fun look as well as dimension. You are a very talented lady! It looks like you’re having lots of fun with your Distress Oxide Ink sprays.

They are something I found at huge markdown so thought what the heck. Won’t buy more ink pads or all the other stuff in the huge selections of colors but does offer something different.

Hi Bonnie. I’ve just finished work and popped in to see your beautiful card! I love the way you have used the coffee filters on your cards and the way you get to use them as part of a project after! (Something new to me) Your combination of text vellum and colour on the background, the wonderfully coloured flowers and the simple elegant die cuts is super. Stay safe! 🙂

Well hello there neighbour and thank you for your visit and very kind comment that you left on my blog. Your card is beautifully designed and your colouring is superb. I’ve never used coffee filters in my card making, so maybe that’s something that I need to look up. Good luck in the challenge. Sandra x

Good morning lovely lady. This bg is beautiful… as is the rest of course because it came from your genius mind. I use enamel drops but what is the pen you used? I see you using text vellum quite often. Can you tell me which one you use? You have probably did before but it’s faster to ask you. I looked on Amazon but that didn’t tell me much of exact.
Have a lovely day … love you
