For the Alphabet Challenge they wanted to use something related to coffee. I took the coffee filter out of the compost bin, rinsed well and let dry. Sprayed with a blue oxide spray and while wet placed a stencil on it and then pressed a piece of white text vellum on top and pressed and then let dry. Placed the mandala stencil back in the same place and sponged on the green oxide that had been sprayed on the glass mat. Once that was dry, I sponged the blue spray along the edges. Used the gold water colors to splatter and added along the edges with my finger plus white splatter. Mounted on white cs base. Adhered the Silhouette cut sentiments.

Came by to return the compliment, thank you, and discovered a very creative person who loves horses. I’m sure there must be a cat involved somewhere as well. Your card is fabulous and such a brilliant idea to use a coffee filter could almost tempt me to go back to filters and stop using pods. Horses, I no longer ride and of course when I did it was English saddle but watching quarter horses and ponies under the American saddle always looks so much more comfortable! Cats well they just are and make great stable companions. Going to carry on looking round your site now and see what other brilliant ideas you have shared. x

Hi Bonnie, what a neat way to incorporate the coffee theme into your card. Your descriptions help me to not be so intimidated to try using more mixed media ideas in my crafting. I keep buying stuff to try then don’t really know what to do with it. Your card turned out fantastic! Thanks for joining the Alphabet Challenge.
