Fun Fold added

I had a couple of blogs I wanted to enter that frogs were the challenge. Not having any stamps I went to the internet and found this digi from a free coloring book. Printed in black with copier on white Text Vellum. Used markers to color frog and ink pads with bristled finger brushes for bg. Thought this was pretty cool mounted to maroon pp then white cs base but then remember one of the challenges wanted fun folds. SO I cut the inside of the card off, added easel (with a fold). Then cut the back of the frog with X-acto knife to create pocket for note and used said pp to fold the note. Stamped the outside in white heat set embossing powder and the inside with black ink. Leaving enough space for a hand written note.

Here is where I recalled how to fold a note to an envelope. We did this all the time as kids. I trimmed the pp to 4″x5 1/2″ before folding.

  2. Your coloring on the frog is amazing, actually all the coloring is amazing. I like that fold and the easel looks very much like one I cut on the Silhouette.

  3. What a fun card Bonnie! I love how you changed it up to make it fit the other challenge, too. I love frogs (yep, even the real ones, as long as I’m not touching them), so I really enjoy this. That pocket note is wonderful.

  5. We can always expect something a little bit different from you… you are so creative. However, it creates a problem for me when you share tutorials… they take me to la la land and I must spend another fifteen minutes watching envelope making… so cool. Love the envelope fold and easel. Unique and fun project. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble. By the way, thank you for your pretty card and the texture sheets you provided… appreciate it.
