I had found at The Ton a download for this two part wave stencil svg. Once cut out I used blue color burst on top of the stencil that was on top of white card stock and spritzed with water. Used an other piece of white cs to press and mop up the excess color and moisture (great fodder for a future project). Once dry I dry embossed with a wave ef. Added sponging in navy ink around edges. Found a coloring book with this mermaid. She was in a scene which I edited out and am providing to you here. Used shimmer water colors after printing on white Text Vellum. Fussy cut then attached around the Silhouette cut seaweed and sentiment. Birthday sentiment was hand stamped in black ink on tissue paper then glued down. Mounted all on white cs base then added glossy accents to lower portion of mermaid.

Now that she is done, not sure about the all her colors but I guess for an imaginary being she is ok. To get the Wishing You to curve, I used kitchen PRESS’NSEAL to pick up and hold the curve. Added glue while still on the wrap then placed the wrap and sentiment in place, gently peeling away the wrap.

Sweet Stampin: Not Normal Most people would have this wrap in the kitchen but mine actually lives in the craft-room. I refuse to buy plastic and try very hard to limit what plastics enter our home so now you know how special this wrap is to me. I re-use small pieces till they don’t stick any more. I figure this box will last the rest of my life.
Beautiful card! Love the background – saved the image for use later!

A magical underwater scene with your beautiful mermaid framed by the delicate fronds of underwater plants. Clever idea to use the plastic wrap to curve the die cut sentiment into position, thanks for the tip…and the mermaid.
Thank you for playing along at Sweet Stampin’.

I had been on the look out for a wave stencil. Not sure this will be my go to but it works for this application.

Beautiful background scene Bonnie and how gorgeous is that mermaid. My press and seal is in my craft room also. Love that stuff to adhere layers and makes it so easy to glue. Thanks for sharing this amazing piece with us at Creative Artiste this month.

Hi Bonnie – thank you for visiting and commenting on my card. You’ve created a lovely card here – great use of the ‘non-crafting’ product and I love how you have made a very effective ‘wave’ background
