Guest at CAS Mix Up

As a guest at CAS Mix Up with the challenge of paper piecing, I wanted to be sure to keep my project CAS. The images and sentiment were stamped using liquid toner on a sponge dauber that was then laminated with gold foil plus I sponged the center of the lotus with a light pink ink. I stamped the flower and wings in black ink on plaid printed on copy paper. That was then heat set in clear embossing powder then fussy cut and attached. Added a few black details with gel pen and mounted on white cs base with a piece of plaid peeking out.

  1. I love seeing your CAS cards! It makes me laugh, as you still do all of your fun stuff, you just make sure there’s lots of white space around it. You are very creative and I love the foiling you did, and the color you added to the flower is just perfect. Great work!

    1. I originally had not colored the flower and it look too weird just floating. I had just gotten in my little brush sponges so this was a great time to see how tidy I could be with them. Lucky for me it worked.

  2. So fantastic and you did a great guest design. I love the piecing of the wings on the butterfly. That’s a cool look! The gold is awesome too as is the flower with the soft colors.

    1. It is a couple of sets. The lotus flower and sentiment are Hero Arts Layering Coloring Dragonfly and the dragonfly is The Wetlands by Theresa Momber.

  5. Amazing detail you achieved on your card. The intracacies of the gold foiling show up beautifully on both your sponging of the lotus and the dragonfly’s legs. Then comes the delicate fussy cutting of the wings. Combined it makes for one gorgeous card. Thank you for Guest Designing for us at CAS Mix Up.
