Coffee Note Card

This 3 1/4×4 1/4 top fold note card is white cs base with open sourced fussy cut digi attached. I stamped the sentiment in black ink and added a touch of red on the fingernail with my new crimson modeling paste.

Tip: When you get new toys, leave them in an open conspicuous place till you get the chance to play with them. Out of sight (better known as put away) is out of mind. I would never have thought to use modeling paste to paint the fingernail red if my new crimson modeling paste was not sitting on my work space staring at me. These modeling pastes truly do live up to their marketing jargon of smooth as soft butter.

New toys left to right: Liquid toner with stamping pads, gilding flakes kit, gold stamp pad, stencils and new colors of modeling paste.

  1. Very cool card. I can almost smell the coffee though maybe it’s because I’ve got a cup right next to me. Your new goodies look like fun. Maybe you could do a blog post on some of them like how you’ll use the liquid toner. You’ve touched on the modeling paste a bit and the gilding flakes but I’d like to know more. I put my new stamps/stencils in a box by my desk and do use them, but alas some that I thought I HAD to have are still in their packaging.

  2. I love your coffee note card. And, the touch of red on the fingernail looks so classy! I try to keep my things in plain view but since I craft at the kitchen table I have to store them away. So I might forget about them for quite awhile.

  3. This image is really cool. The black and white with that touch of red is a great idea. I, too, don’t put away new things until I try them out. Of course I should start the making since my pile is getting a little high.

    1. Thanks Golda, I use to be in a hurry to find a place for my new stuff but then realized that I was not using it and forgetting I even had it. The glue on a sponge to stamps then gilding flakes was new to me. Now I am so glad I tried the kit because it really works great and is so easy.
