Being a good neighbor

As I was surfing blogs I came across a new to me challenge site. There they suggested

Because blog land is not thriving like it used to we thought when you came to add your card or creation to our challenge you could check out the entry in front of you and leave a comment for them….leave some love so to speak and who knows they might come back and say hi too!! ” Crafty Catz

I found this so compelling that I went to many of my already posted galleries and left my neighbors some love. As I was checking out one of my neighbors’ site I came across a technique I had not heard of and that got me following here link to the details. In a nut shell it is white glue on a slick surface, pick up the glue on your stamping block and stamp that on white cs in a varied pattern. Allow to dry then sponge on some color. The result is supple but interesting. Here I sponged green, peach and pink inks then used my wall paper ef for texture (but it also flattens the piece). The frame and sentiment are Silhouette cut on white cs. Punched some gold dots out of gold sticker paper and added glue and glitter to flourishes. Mounted on white cs base. It is so much prettier than any photos.

  1. I am loving the pink and soft colors on this card. The frame works so well to showcase your background piece. Love you paying it forward and it’s always a lovely thing to do in hopes of making someone else’s day. Thanks for sharing the new technique, too. I always learn something from your posts. i should start a Bonnie technique book.
