I had purchased this Heart Flourish (#73165) from the Silhouette Store and cut it out of layering weight white cs. Heat embossed in red three times. The bg is over spray paper that was laying in the bottom of the splatter box and used the dot pattern stencil with versa mark then heat set in the red embossing powder. Layered on white copy paper with black marker that is on stripe pp with same black boarder. For the sentiment disc, I cut that out of white cs, heat set platinum embossing powder four times and while still hot I stamped a clear polymer stamp. Rubbed the cooled surface with black ink and attached with bakers twine. The hot embossing powder did not effect the stamp but it did leave a very clear sharp image.

Love that heart flourish die cut you used; it looks great with the multiple layers of red embossing powder. And your “sentiment disc” looks like a metal charm. I was surprised to see you created it with embossing powder and a stamp – so cool!

Now I wish I had made it round, but it did work to get the look of metal.

Love the flourish cut – with the embossing powder. And the metal look on the tag – need to give that a try! Amazing card!

Thanks Verna, I don’t have tons of colors but the red really fit for this one.

This is a great card, Bonnie. I love the different ways you used the embossing powder. That tag, that you stamped into the hot embossing is beautiful. I’m glad it didn’t hurt your stamp, too.

Beautiful heart flourish and you are the embossing queen (I think I have embossed maybe twice over) but yours with 3-4 layers really shows vivid thick colors…beautiful card. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble and don’t forget to join our partner over at Heart2Heart (link is on our challenge post).

Those little extras drive me crazy when crafters think they have to buy them. I enjoy trying to create something close enough for the effect yet still hand made.

Bonnie, another GORGEOUS card! What a clever idea to use your over-spray sheet and then emboss a pattern on it! Thank you for inspiring us and sharing your talents once again at Double Trouble!!! -Donna
