The focal floral image was stamped with brown ink on white tissue paper, colored with markers in dark red and leaves in mustard color. The bg was created on white Text Vellum with cream modeling paste smeared on surface. Once dry added the motif through stencil with white modeling paste. After that was dry I sponged dark red on stenciled area and brown on outside edges. Rubbed center of stencil area with sandpaper to reveal cream beneath. Lightly stamped some words in brown then glued flowers on. Heat set in gold the stamped sentiment. Some of the powder stuck along the edges and that was ok by me. Added some gold gel pen to centers of flowers. Layered this on mustard color cs then on a white cs base.

Very cool background. I really like the “stuck” powder on your edges…it’s another layering element for your card.

I was wanting the flowers to pop more but once the sentiment was on I was happy with the recessed look. Thanks for your comment and support.

So pretty!! Love the touch of gold with your rich reds and browns. Great distressing to reveal spots of the cream as well.

Sanding is one I rarely think to use but was a big effect on the bg. Thanks so much for you supportive comment.
