This is a small note card (3 1/2 x 4 1/4) using trimmings from another project that created this handmade bg and snowflake. I added the heat embossed in tinsel sentiment and then used the versa mark around the edges and dipping only the edge in the powder and heat set for the silver frame. Splatter is Aged Black Embossing Enamel added by dabbing the versa mark pad on surface then smooching paper in powder spread on a scrap paper. Be sure to remove extra enamel with fine dry brush and heat set from the back. This powder can be very dimensional if heat set lightly. If you get it too hot it flattens out and becomes dull plus if you heat set from the top most of the enamel fly’s off.

Challenges I am sharing this with
An absolutely beautiful background with lots of texture as well as plenty of skill in the making. Your silver tinsel border is very precise and I cannot believe the dimension in your splatters. Just gorgeous, Bonnie! Thank you for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!

This is stunning, that sparkly heat embossing looks gorgeous and your splatters are clearly very special. I don’t know how you got such a good splatter look by dabbing the pad on the surface. I am sure it wouldn’t work if I tried that. Anyway the finished card is great, thanks for taking the time to join us at CAS Mix Up this month xx

Thanks Hilary, that’s the beauty of the chunky powder, you have much more control of how much you leave.

Bonnie, this is beautiful! I love that you made it from “leftovers”. Those enamel spots are beautiful texture and shine. I’m willing to bet you learned the heat from the back from experience, too. Thanks for sharing about that.

Yes, Golda I have to learn most things by doing it wrong first. I guess that is part of the reason I post my direction is so I can look back and do it right the next time.

Thanks Nancy, I sometimes forget to use the heat embossing for splatter. I have some white chunky that works well too.
