Something old, something new, something printed

Staying true to my old idea of when creating bg make three of them, this is one of the three. This one started out as white layering weight cs that I placed a stencil with green color burst that had been spritzed with water (first used on the original bg creation and lifted with color still on the surface of the stencil) then sandwiched another white cs to press some of the color down while absorbing for the third piece . Once dry I placed the clean and dry stencil back down and traced the leaves with a black fine line marker. The berries got filled in with gold gel pen and I splattered with black and green shimmer water color. A few of the leaves got filled in with metallic gel pen in two shades of green. Once trimmed and layered on a pale blue it was mounted on a fun fold that is new for me that I discovered here. Sentiments were created on the Silhouette, “Sending” cut out of white cs and tag printed on same weight cs in the font of Palace Script.

  1. Your leafy patterned paper is so awesome. Great idea to make extras to save for another time. When I first started stamping that pretty much was the rule of thumb. Make two cards of the same design from each piece of cardstock. Love the card.

  2. What a great card Bonnie! I love that you did 3 backgrounds with the same stencil, yet all will be different because of the way you did them. Can’t wait to see the others. That is a fun fold.
