Play Time

More heat embossing on homemade black paper, this time through a stencil with versa mark and tinsel embossing powder. I also wanted to try a suggestion of Silhouette settings for fine detail cuts and this snowflake frame came to mind. The settings worked great and the frame fit with the fussy cut and watercolor new year baby.

Tip: The Silhouette settings are as seen in the screen shot below. The major changes I made are to cut twice (2 passes) and select the icon that tells the blade to lift at intersections (the triangle below depth setting). I saved these setting and named them Detail 80 ib. Also, being sure the paper is burnished into the sticky mat seems to help with better cuts.

Happy New Year to each of you and may the coming days be a blessing to you.

I am not one to make resolutions, but prefer to live without regret. For me that means making daily decisions that insure peace.

  2. Love the background! And the frame with the New Year’s baby! I agree with resolutions, generally not for me – my “goals for next year are more for motivation than anything!
