In my quest for the perfect pp to line my Christmas cards, I came across a photo with the right colors but too sharp of bg images. So I enlarged a part of the bg then printed on copy paper to get this beauty. The strips are all glossy pp from various companies that were in my stash of trimmings. One still has the black glitter paste through a stencil. See below to understand how I laid these out. Added thin strip from trimming check to separate top from bottom then added Silhouette cut Birthday sentiment. Stamped in black then heat embossed with clear the blessings part. Layered on white cs base. Decided to go with letting the sketch carry this one, no splatter, or sequins or added doodling.
Tip: Laminate a piece of grid paper for placing your pieces. I put a dab of removable double sided tape on the right side of each piece. Placed them roughly where they were to be, then pressed the grid laminate to pick up the pieces. Rearranged the strips to line up on the grid and then added tape runner to each piece being careful not to get sticky dots on the plastic. Placed the pp such that it followed the grid and press thus adding all the strips at once and keeping them in place. My husband was so impressed with my concept. That is quite a complement coming from a mechanical engineer.
